In a groundbreaking move that merges real-world energy infrastructure with cutting-edge digital finance, Starborn Energy Bontang Pte. Ltd., one of Southeast Asia’s leading oil and gas companies, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Libertum Ltd, a global leader in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. The partnership aims to tokenize $100 million USD worth of strategic gas infrastructure projects via Libertum’s compliant and scalable on-chain platform.
This initiative will support the development of two transformative assets critical to the region’s energy independence and growth:
- $90 million will fund the development and operations of the Tutung Gas Field in East Kutai, East Kalimantan.
- $10 million will serve as a down payment for the acquisition of a strategically important gas field in Papua, Indonesia.
